Ingredients

  • 240 g butter (part 1)
  • 2 eggs (part 1)
  • 540 g flour (part 1)
  • 180 g sugar (part 1)
  • 1 packet of vanilla extract (part 1)
  • salt (part 1)
  • 1 level tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder (for the cocoa variation)
  • 1/2 tablespoon powdered sugar (for the chocolate version)

Directions

  1. Pour the butter and sugar into a bowl and beat the mixture for a few minutes.

  2. Add the eggs and salt to the mixture.

  3. Finally, add the sifted flour and vanilla extract.

  4. Beat everything until you have a smooth batter.

  5. If you want to make the chocolate version, add the cocoa powder and powdered sugar now and continue beating.

  6. Now we need to fill the cookie press with the dough. Place the cookie press on a baking sheet and start “shooting” out our cookies.

  7. Bake the baking sheet at 180° C for about 12 minutes.

  8. Once they’re out of the oven, you can decorate them however you like with sprinkles, candied fruit, or chocolate sprinkles; personally, I prefer them plain, without any decorations.

  9. Let them cool on the baking sheet, and you’ll see that once they’re cool, they’ll come off on their own—all you’ll have to do is eat them!!

I’d been wanting to try the cookie press for a while, and I finally got the chance.

While browsing the web, I came across this fantastic recipe—you should try it, too! Your cookies will be gone in no time—they’re that good!

If you don’t have a cookie press, you can use a regular pastry bag to create different shapes.

If you’re using a cookie press, it’s very important NOT to butter the baking sheet and NOT to line it with parchment paper; otherwise, the cookies won’t come off the cookie press.

Enjoy your meal!
