Ingredients

  • 30 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 100 g Type 00 flour
  • 100 g coconut flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 80 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Let’s start by preparing a large bowl, one or two baking sheets lined with parchment paper, and preheating the oven to 180°C in conventional mode.

  2. Add all the ingredients in the following order: flour, coconut, cocoa, butter cut into small pieces, sugar, and salt.

  3. Knead the mixture until the dough is well combined.

  4. Taking a small piece at a time, we form many small balls, which we’ll place on the previously prepared baking sheets.

  5. Once you’ve filled a baking sheet, bake at 180°C (be sure to use the static mode—not the convection setting!) for 15 minutes.

  6. When they're done, they'll look something like this:

  7. Take them out of the oven, let them cool, and eat them by the truckload! :D

This week I was really torn about which recipe to share, but given the drop in temperatures, I decided on soft chocolate chip cookies.

I know, “ARE YOU CRAZY? Turning on the oven in the summer?” you might say! But if you think about it: we make them in the evening, turn on the oven for just under 30 minutes, then hop into a lovely, refreshing shower—what’s the harm? Isn’t it more satisfying to step out of the shower feeling so refreshed…? :D

Come on, give us a rough estimate!

I’d like to take this opportunity to once again thank our friends at MANI - Culture for Children, with whom we wrapped up the “Mangia colorato!” project last week!

We hope to resume in September for a new series, with fresh ideas for making the most of seasonal fruits and vegetables!

Now let’s get to the recipe :)
