Servings: 16Calories (per serving): 81 kcal

Ingredients

  • 150 g flour
  • 70 g quinoa
  • 50 ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 orange
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 30 g brown sugar

Directions

  1. See, another great thing about vegan dessert recipes is that they’re very quick to make—especially these cookies, at least!

  2. Ready? Put ALL the ingredients in a bowl (yes, you heard right—it’s that easy!).

  3. EVERYONE!

  4. Before kneading the dough, I recommend preheating the oven to 180°C in conventional mode.

  5. Knead until the dough reaches a slightly soft consistency; this is what it looked like to me (see image).

  6. Break off small pieces and shape them however you like.

  7. I made lots of small-to-medium-sized discs, and as I said, I ended up with about twenty of them.

  8. Bake for about 20 minutes and let them cool. Don’t expect them to be as hard as other cookies made with eggs, but don’t worry—they’re really good!

Today we’re making** quinoa and orange cookies**—let’s get a taste of vegan desserts. Personally, I’ve never had the pleasure of eating many of them, but I hear so much about them—why not give them a try? As they say: you have to try everything in life, especially my recipe for quinoa cookies!

Quinoa, for those who don’t know, is gluten-free (but be careful—these cookies are not if you use 00 flour!) and has many health benefits; in fact, it’s very high in protein , carbohydrates, and dietary fiber. If you’d like to learn more, I recommend this link (LINK).

The following ingredients are for about 20 cookies using my disc-shaped cookie cutter!
