After making a sponge cake filled with pastry cream, I had some cream left over, so I decided to whip up a quick dessert for the evening using what I had on hand—these little cups filled with cream, strawberries, and chocolate. :) I used tarallucci and gocciole, but you can use any shortbread cookies.

Ciambelline These ciambelline are quick to make and very light since they aren’t fried but baked in the special pan my friends gave me a couple of Christmases ago :) Thanks to them, I started experimenting with various recipes and ended up with the one I’m sharing with you today :) This time, I didn’t glaze them or cover them in chocolate, but I’ll be posting those versions soon as well.
