Servings: 16Calories (per serving): 85 kcal

Ingredients

  • 1 **Pandoro**
  • 3 tablespoons **powdered sugar** (already included in the pandoro package)
  • 1 **egg yolk**
  • 250 g **mascarpone**
  • **Berries,** to taste

Directions

  1. In a bowl, beat the egg yolk with the powdered sugar; to avoid eating raw egg, continue beating it over a double boiler for a couple of minutes.

  2. Remove from the double boiler, add the mascarpone, and continue beating until the mixture is thick and fluffy.

  3. Cut the pandoro horizontally and remove discs from the center of the slices (2 discs of your preferred size per tartlet will suffice).

  4. Place the first layer on the plate and spread cream over the top. Place the second layer on top and cover the entire cake with cream.

  5. Add berries as a garnish, to taste!

  6. Enjoy it with friends using little forks!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! It’s almost very little At Christmas, we’ve held out for a whole year—between diets (yeah, right… not so much for us, but we do it for you ;)) and sacrifices (lots of those!)—and now it’s finally time to treat ourselves to all the Christmas desserts! So here’s my version of the Stuffed Pandoro!

I was looking for some inspiration online and kept coming across the usual pandoro cakes filled in the shape of a staggered Christmas tree—talk about creative!

So I stopped by the supermarket after work and bought a Melegatti pandoro—which, for those who don’t know, is also the company of the person to thank for the extra weight I gained over the Christmas holidays: they invented the pandoro!

Then I decided to break it down just for you and make it the dessert of the week.
