Halloween Pumpkin Pie: Pumpkin Pie

Maybe a little late, but I’d like to share a delicious treat for Halloween: Halloween pumpkin pie—or as they say in America, pumpkin pie! So if you’re wondering what to do with the pumpkin flesh left over from carving a Jack-o’-lantern—that classic scary face made by carving out a pumpkin and lighting it with a candle for Halloween—you won’t want to miss this Halloween pumpkin cake! The recipe I used is Betty Crocker’s, which I modified by converting their measurements to a more readable format and, most importantly, by reducing the amount of sugar and condensed milk: they’re crazy! :D So here’s the shopping list for Halloween pumpkin pie!

Coconut Brownies: The Classic American Dessert!

To get ready for the cooler weather that’s bound to arrive sooner or later, today I’m sharing a recipe for coconut brownies. They’re perfect for any occasion, but don’t gobble them all up—they’re pretty filling! I often make these to bring to work for a break with coworkers, as a weekend treat, or for dinner parties. It’s very quick to prepare, takes about 30 minutes to bake, and a sprinkle of coconut flour is optional—plus, it’s impossible to mess this up! It’s one of those recipes to always keep on hand for last-minute guests and when you’re short on ideas: this classic is always there to save the day!

Apple and Raisin Muffins: A Super Sweet Recipe!

The first recipe this fall is for apple and raisin muffins—they’re delicious! We can even pretend they’re “healthy”—after all, there’s clearly fruit in them! All joking aside, I don’t know about where you are, but here in Milan we’re having a fantastic start to fall! I hope you’re having fun and that this has helped you get over some of that so-called “back-to-school stress”! :D . Let’s jump right into the recipe and the shopping list for apple and raisin muffins!

Torta della nonna: the classic recipe!

I’m also following Bake Off 2017, and after the second episode (you can watch it here if you haven’t seen it yet: LINK), Knam made me crave torta della nonna. Since I didn’t have all the ingredients (and didn’t want to make it as complicated as hers—let’s face it…), I tried this recipe, which is much simpler but still very good! For those who may have missed it, and for your convenience, Knam’s recipe (dedicated to his wife Alessandra, Ed.) is here: LINK. Oh, and for those who don’t know: pine nuts are crazy expensive! :D

Classic Tiramisu: The Recipe with Coffee!

We couldn’t leave out the classic recipe par excellence: coffee tiramisu! I even managed to get my boyfriend—who doesn’t like coffee—to eat it. Unbelievable! If you’re not crazy about coffee either, why not try my two variations—strawberry (RECIPE HERE) and pineapple (LINK)!

Belgian Hard Coccoretti: A Delicious Variation!

As I promised, here’s the crispiest version of the most famous recipe on my little blog: the one for Hard “coccoretti del beglio.”(You can find the softer, more classic version by clicking here). Just like the previous recipe, there are very few ingredients, and it’s even easier to make!

Oatmeal and Raisin Cookies: A Quick Recipe with Guaranteed Results!

I’m back from my summer break, and the first recipe I’d like to share with you is for oatmeal and raisin cookies! I chose this recipe because when you’ve just gotten back from vacation, you don’t really feel like cooking, but if it’s easy to prepare, cooks quickly, doesn’t require too many ingredients, and the result is guaranteed, why not? So I’d say let’s get back on track, slowly but surely, and get back into our routine… keeping in mind that Christmas will be here before we know it! :D

Soft Chocolate Cookies

This week I was really torn about which recipe to share, but given the drop in temperatures, I decided on soft chocolate chip cookies. I know, “ARE YOU CRAZY? Turning on the oven in the summer?” you might say! But if you think about it: we make them in the evening, turn on the oven for just under 30 minutes, then hop into a lovely, refreshing shower—what’s the harm? Isn’t it more satisfying to step out of the shower feeling so refreshed…? :D

Wild Berry Tartlets

Summer started just a few days ago—did you see that cool logo we made to celebrate? :D . My first summer recipe this year is **wild berry tartlets—**a truly mouthwatering dessert. I filled it this way because these were the ingredients I had on hand, but you can really get creative with the combinations! Have a great summer and enjoy your vacation, whether you’re having fun at the beach, in the mountains, or wherever you like!
