Chocolate Salami: A Classic Recipe with Coffee!

Servings: 16Calories (per serving): 129 kcal

Ingredients

  • 350 g dry cookies
  • 100 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 150 g melted butter
  • 4 small cups of espresso
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 capfuls of rum
  • 1 packet of vanilla extract
  • 1 plastic food bag
  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan, being careful not to let it boil, and let it cool.

  2. Fill the plastic bag with dry cookies and, using a weight (a bottle of water, a rolling pin, your boyfriend’s head…), crush them well until you have a looooot of crumbs. Don’t make them too small, though!

  3. In a bowl, combine the cookies, melted butter, rum, coffee, cocoa, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt.

  4. Knead with your hands until the mixture is smooth.

  5. Prepare a strip of aluminum foil on which we’ll spread the mixture in the shape of a salami.

  6. Once you’ve achieved the desired shape, roll up the aluminum foil, seal the sides, and put it in the freezer!

  7. It needs to sit for at least 4 hours: I left it overnight!

  8. Before serving, let it warm to room temperature for about half an hour, then serve it sliced!
