Apple Strudel: Mini Apple Strudels!

Ingredients

  • A rectangular roll of puff pastry
  • 2 apples
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of raisins
  • a splash of milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (if you like)

Directions

  1. Let's start by cutting the apples into cubes. As we cut them and place them in a bowl, add lemon juice so they don't turn brown, and mix!

  2. Add 2 tablespoons of raisins and, if you like, some cinnamon too (just 1 teaspoon—but I’m biased: I don’t like it!)

  3. Preheat the oven to 200° C in conventional mode so it’s ready to bake as soon as we’re done preparing the dish; in the meantime, unroll the puff pastry on the work surface.

  4. Cut into 6 equal rectangles (about... :D )

  5. Place the apple and raisin mixture in the center of each small rectangle.

  6. Form a small bundle by first folding the long sides inward and then the shorter sides.

  7. Turn the parcel so that the seam is facing down, and use a sharp knife to make 3 small cuts on the surface to allow moisture to escape.

  8. Brush the surface with milk and bake for 20–25 minutes.

  9. And here's what they look like after cooking!

Mini apple strudels are the perfect dessert to ensure you’re never caught off guard by unexpected guests!
