A delicious recipe that’s easy to make—no mixer required

Banana-walnut muffins (or banana nut muffins!) were the most popular treats during our vacation on the West Coast of the U.S. (San Francisco, the national parks, Death Valley, Las Vegas, …). Before setting off on a long trip (the open spaces, for those who’ve never been there, are veeeery vast), we’d always stock up on provisions and water, and treat ourselves to a few sweets. Minions Banana Cupcakes With the release of the third Minions movie coming up shortly after my birthday, I decided to celebrate with these delicious banana cupcakes—which the Minions love—decorated with cute little Minions :D

With the arrival of summer, I got a craving for strawberries, so I tried making these muffins with strawberry chunks inside! Then, since I was making quite a few muffins, I decided to try out some variations as I went along :) Some contain just strawberries, others strawberries and bananas, and still others strawberries and dark chocolate! I have to say, the result was truly spectacular! :D

Sponge Cake with Custard My friend’s grandson described this cake to me for his birthday :) He wanted a sponge cake filled with a figure of George—**Peppa **Pig’s little brother—playing with his dinosaur on top. Happy birthday, Aaron!
