I’m also following Bake Off 2017, and after the second episode (you can watch it here if you haven’t seen it yet: LINK), Knam made me crave torta della nonna.
Since I didn’t have all the ingredients (and didn’t want to make it as complicated as hers—let’s face it…), I tried this recipe, which is much simpler but still very good!
For those who may have missed it, and for your convenience, Knam’s recipe (dedicated to his wife Alessandra, Ed.) is here: LINK.
Oh, and for those who don’t know: pine nuts are crazy expensive! :D
Lemon Curd
The first time I tasted lemon curd, I was 15 years old and it was my first trip to England—I fell in love with it right away! It’s a **very **easy-to-make spread and truly delicious. It’s also very versatile—it can be used on tarts or simply spread on bread for a tasty snack.
Mille-feuille
This mille-feuille recipe is a quick option for when you want to impress in no time. In fact, I made it with store-bought puff pastry because making it from scratch takes a long time.
panna cotta
Panna cotta is a dessert that’s incredibly easy to make, yet impressive and delicious. With just a few ingredients, you’ll have a delicious dessert on your table.
Pineapple Tiramisu
I made this pineapple tiramisu for a party I threw for a friend of mine. I wanted something original and refreshing, and I have to say that everyone really loved it!!
Pineapple tiramisu is fresh and delicate—perfect for enjoying on one of these summer days!! :D
After making a sponge cake filled with pastry cream, I had some cream left over, so I decided to whip up a quick dessert for the evening using what I had on hand—these little cups filled with cream, strawberries, and chocolate. :)
I used tarallucci and gocciole, but you can use any shortbread cookies.
