Beet and Chocolate Cake

This** beetroot and chocolate cake** is perfect for anyone who still has leftover chocolate from Easter—or just too much of it! Plus, we can take this opportunity to eat some beets—which, between you and me, I personally don’t really like on their own, let alone the kids! I got the idea for this cake while making the savory beet pie (click for the recipe!), which was created specifically to introduce even the youngest children to this vegetable, thanks to our collaboration with our friends in Rome: MANI - Culture for Children. If you don’t know yet, we’re three really fun guys who liven up the days and evenings of kids in Rome and the surrounding area with super fun events and parties! By the way: this week (Wednesday, to be exact) will feature the penultimate post before summer break—and this time’s color is GREEN! Refreshing Juice

Summer is coming to an end, and at this time of year I often feel tired and drained… For a while now, I’ve been trying out different combinations of smoothies, and I have to say they help me get all the vitamins and fiber that I sometimes can’t get from my meals—plus, they’re really delicious and quick to make. Spelt and Oat Plumcake

My friend Susy had been asking me for a while for a spelt and oat plum cake because she’d tried one and really liked it. Since I’d never done this before, I tried combining a few recipes I found online to create a new—and very tasty—one!

Carrot Cake

Carrot cake is a light and delicious dessert that I’ve enjoyed ever since I was a child. There are many recipes for it, and you can find another version in the post already on the site titled “Carrot Cupcakes.”
