Chocolate Tartufini

Chocolate Tartufini: little balls of delight!

Servings: 16Calories (per serving): 56 kcal

Ingredients

  • 75 g dark chocolate
  • 50 g milk chocolate
  • 75 g fresh cream
  • shredded coconut
  • cocoa powder

Directions

  1. Chop the chocolate into fairly fine pieces (without going crazy :D) and heat the cream in a small saucepan.

  2. As soon as it comes to a boil, turn off the heat and add the chopped chocolate.

  3. Mix the mixture and let it cool in a bowl.

  4. Let it sit in the fridge for 15 minutes, then mix again. If the mixture is thick enough to form balls that won’t fall apart, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and, using two teaspoons, shape the mixture into chocolate truffles. Put them in the fridge for another 30 minutes.

  5. While they’re cooling, let’s prepare the ingredients to coat them in.

  6. In addition to the coconut and cocoa I used, I recommend pistachio flour, chopped hazelnuts, colored sprinkles, and chocolate chips or shavings—in short, you can get creative!

Chocolate tartufini are the first recipe developed for MANI: they’re a really fun group of young people from Rome who devote themselves body and soul to children’s entertainment, traveling to every library in the capital to entertain kids with a perfect blend of culture and play!

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be collaborating with them to teach children the importance of good nutrition through recipes inspired by the seasons and, above all, by the colors of life.

Next time I’ll try something fruity!

Keep the ones left over after the first few bites in the fridge :D.
