Happy May 1st to everyone!
To recover a bit from the long Easter and April 25th holidays, I recommend this excellent variation on my classic “one-minute cake” for Labor Day!
The One-Minute Cake… WHOLE-WHEAT!

Preheat the oven to 180°C (conventional setting), then butter and flour a 21-cm baking pan.
Chop the chocolate to your desired consistency: for example, I like it not too fine, but you can do it however you like!
Pour all the ingredients except the water and the chocolate into a bowl. Mix the batter with a whisk.

Bring the water to a boil and add it to the dough. Mix until everything is well combined.

Once combined, add the chocolate chips, stir quickly, and pour into the pan.

Bake for 25–30 minutes and let cool.
Be sure to use a toothpick to check if it’s done before taking the cake out of the oven!

And the one-minute whole-wheat chocolate cake is ready!
Once it has cooled, you can add powdered sugar.
